The Case Monitoring System (CMS) Lapor.gakkum.link is a forum for networks or civil society organizations / CSOs that monitor cases of destruction of natural resources and the environment that have not been followed up by law enforcement officials or have not been processed by the judiciary. It is hoped that this platform will serve as a forum for CSOs to collect initial findings from cases of environmental destruction in the form of documents, photos, videos and others as initial evidence of case findings.
The use of this platform is aimed at networks of civil society organizations or associations of indigenous peoples who monitor cases or find cases of destruction of natural resources and the environment in Papua. Because this platform is still in the development stage, there are several features of this microsite that need to be perfected so that its use is easy and according to the expected function.
Civil society networks/organizations that monitor cases or find cases of environmental destruction that have not been reported to law enforcement or the report has not been followed up by law enforcement will be imported into this platform. The evidence of the case findings is uploaded to this platform which will then be discussed together with the obstacles or shortcomings of the evidence of the case findings that have not been followed up or that have not been reported.
The case sectors raised were varied, such as: forestry, plantations, illegal logging, forest burning, abuse of mining and coal permits and others related to the environment. Any initial findings from networks or civil society organizations that find cases of environmental destruction can be uploaded through this platform. The initial stage is to register to have an account to be able to input and access this platform. Then you can upload the initial evidence of case findings that will be collected, and discussed together for the next stage. Again, the hope is that this platform can be integrated with websites or platforms that are already owned by law enforcement (relevant ministries) so that they can monitor or track case findings by civil society organizations that have been missed by law enforcement officials.
